B. We specialize in applying Office's built-in accessibility tools and, where the software falls short, we implement complementary accessibility solutions developed in-house.
C. Remediating the source document allows us to add or update accessibility elements wherever needed — including when a previously remediated document undergoes changes — without requiring a full re-remediation. This translates to significant savings in both cost and turnaround time. Moreover, when a remediated document is updated and requires accessibility adjustments in real time, we do not charge extra for those updates.
D. When a document remediated in Word or PowerPoint is published on a website as a PDF, a careful and correct conversion to PDF preserves all the accessibility adjustments made at the Office level.
E. Over the long term, accessibility at the Office level is the most cost-effective approach.
PDF File Accessibility
We also remediate PDF files of all types, equally in line with the standard and at a fair, competitive price.
When the document requiring remediation features heavy design elements (brand materials, brochures, or presentations created in professional design and layout software, etc.) or when the original Office source file is simply unavailable, we recommend and implement direct PDF file accessibility remediation.
Document Accessibility Packages & Pricing
Our document accessibility services are tailored to your specific remediation needs:
A. Businesses or organizations that publish documents on a regular basis — such as public companies that release financial reports, presentations, immediate disclosures, and other ongoing publications, or public bodies (local authorities, government-owned companies, etc.) that publish notices, minutes, protocols, and various reports — can choose from the following options:
- Fixed annual volume pricing based on a pre-agreed number of documents;
- Per-page pricing with no cap on the number of pages or documents;
- A monthly retainer, which includes an additional discount compared to the other two options.
B. Clients who need accessibility services less frequently, on an as-needed basis, can also choose from two options:
- A competitive per-page rate for each individual document;
- A pre-agreed fixed-volume annual package;
C. Clients who use UA to make their website accessible enjoy the option to also remediate their site's documents at a special bundled rate — two birds, one stone!
